The following information is provided for
those organizations that plan to host onsite Model-Based
Engineering training
at their facilities.

Integrated Modeling Tool Training
(optional) Support - version numbers & trial licenses
For Model-Based Engineering training that includes
integrated modeling tool training, the following
sections provide information about current version
numbers and trial licenses for popular UML/SysML/BPMN
modeling tools:
- Version#: All "Enterprise Architect
edition" workshops use the current release of Sparx
Enterprise Architect (Version 9.1), which
supports UML 2.3, SysML 1.2, and BPMN 2.0. (If you
need or desire to use an earlier version of Sparx EA
or these modeling languages, please coordinate with
your Instructor at least two weeks in advance of
your training start date.
- SysML Workshops: Select the "Ultimate" or
"Systems Engineering" option from your trial license
splash screen, and make sure that the SysML plugin
is installed. (To verify installation, select the "Settings" pulldown menu item, then select the "MDG
Technologies..." menu item, and ensure that the
"SysML 1.2" entry is checked on the left side pane
of the resulting "MDG Technologies" dialog box.)
- Download Trial Licenses:
Clients that don't already own Sparx Enterprise
Architect (EA) licenses can download free 30-day trial
licenses for training from the Downloads page
of the Sparx web:
- Version#: All "MagicDraw
edition" workshops use the current release of
MagicDraw (Version 17.x), which supports UML 2.3,
SysML 1.2, and BPMN 2.0. (If you need or desire to
use an earlier version of MagicDraw or these
modeling languages, please coordinate with your
Instructor at least two weeks in advance of your
training start date.)
- SysML Workshops: Download and install the
SysML v. 17.x plugin for MagicDraw.
- Download Trial Licenses:
Clients that don't already own MagicDraw licenses can download free
trial licenses for training from the MagicDraw web:
- Version#: All "UModel
edition" workshops use the current release of
UModel 2012, which supports UML 2.3,
SysML 1.2, and BPMN 2.0. (If you need or desire to
use an earlier version of UModel or these
modeling languages, please coordinate with your
Instructor at least two weeks in advance of your
training start date.)
- SysML Workshops: Download and install the
Enterprise edition for UModel
- Download Trial Licenses:
Clients that don't already own UModel licenses can download free
trial licenses for training from the UModel web:
- Visual Paradigm for UML Version#: All "Visual
Paradigm for UML
edition" workshops use the current release of
Visual Paradigm for UML (Version 8.3), which supports UML 2.3,
SysML 1.2, and BPMN 2.0. (If you need or desire to
use an earlier version of Visual Paradigm for UML or these
modeling languages, please coordinate with your
Instructor at least two weeks in advance of your
training start date.)
- Agilian Version#: All "Agilian
edition" workshops use the current release of
Agilian (Version 3.3), which supports UML 2.3 and BPMN 2.0. (If you need or desire to
use an earlier version of Visual Paradigm for UML or these
modeling languages, please coordinate with your
Instructor at least two weeks in advance of your
training start date.)
- Download Trial Licenses:
Clients that don't already own Visual Paradigm for
UML/Agilian licenses can download free
trial licenses for training from the Visual Paradigm web:
